With the world economy in recession, customers' purchasing power is expected to decrease, and it will affect the earnings of companies such as Kimberly-Clark and Honeywell.
Although 3M produces coronavirus-related items such as masks, our view and contribution of such goods to the top of the market are likely to be less than 1 percent. This alone does not explain the stock's development (3M's stock is down by about -15 percent compared to the broader S&P's decline of about 20 percent since the beginning of February).
Since we do not expect Kimberly-Clark healthcare sector to drive any substantial growth for the group's overall top line relative to Honeywell, its other segments could potentially be less affected.
