Second Wave of COVID-19 is Coming – What Does This Mean for You and Your Family?

You may have thought that the COVID-19 is gone, but right now there are talks about a “second wave” of the pandemic. Some people haven’t even recovered from the first one, and yet another one is coming our way.

What should you do?

Should you let the government do as they please or should you stock up on essential items?

In this article, we are going to discuss the first and the second wave of the COVID-19 and share with you how you can prepare for what’s coming.

You’ll no longer have to be afraid of the coronavirus. You’ll learn everything you need to know to be prepared for the worst.

Let’s not waste any more time and get right into it.

The First Wave of COVID-19

The first coronavirus case in the USA was reported on January 20. Since then, they have been more than 2 million new COVID-19 cases with almost 125 000 deaths. The US had the worst outbreak than any other country. There are a couple of reasons why that’s the case.

First of all, there were shortages of personal protective equipment in many hospitals which created more issues in the entire healthcare system. Also, each state treated the COVID-19 situation differently. Some states went into a full lockdown while others stayed open.

Another thing that increases the COVID-19 cases is the protests against racism because some protestors don’t wear protective equipment. There are massive gatherings of people, yet nobody wears their mask.

These are only a few reasons why the first wave of the COVID-19 has hit the United States so hard. The politicization of the subject hasn’t helped at all because more people are getting confused about what exactly they should do.

But don’t think that this is over, because experts are saying that we have to be ready for the second wave of coronavirus.

The Second Wave of COVID-19

We will know if the second wave of COVID-19 is here if we see a spike in the daily infections. Some might argue that the first wave isn’t over or that the second wave of the novel virus has just begun. Nobody knows for sure.

What we do know that without a vaccine or any other cure, the COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere. We won’t have a cure for at least a year, so we might as well prepare to live with the coronavirus. Some speculate that in the autumn, when the temperatures drop, the second wave will start coming with more and more people getting infected.

The good news is that we are more prepared than the first time. Most hospitals and healthcare professionals have access to personal protective equipment. Also, we have more tests and can-do contract tracing, so we can isolate the people that have contacted the virus.

However, with most countries out of a lockdown, it won’t be surprised if we see a spike in the number cases, because more and more people are getting out.

Let’s hope that if the second wave is coming or is already began, we will handle it better than the first outbreak.

How to Prepare Yourself for the Second Wave?

If you’re afraid of a potential second wave of the COVID-19, there are a few ways you can prepare yourself.

First, you should avoid contact with anyone who has the symptoms. The most common symptoms are the following:

  • Fever
  • Dry Cough
  • Fatigue

Try to keep your distance with anyone who has these symptoms, because the virus is very easily transmittable.

Another great to do is to purchase hand sanitizers, so you can wash your hands regularly. Here you can see the top 5 places to buy a hand sanitizer. Also, you should have face masks stored in your home, so you can protect yourself when you’re going out.

Don’t go and buy any mask. The best face mask for you is an N95 respirator because it filters at least 95% of small non-oil particles.

If you keep your distance from people with symptoms, wash your hands regularly and wear N95 respirator when you’re going out, you’ll be protected from the COVID-19. Also, don’t forget to strengthen your immune system with regular sleep, exercise and vitamins.

If you’re looking for face masks or other protective equipment, you can order it directly from here. If you want to get more hand sanitizers for you and your family, you can place your order here.

Nobody knows if a second wave of the COVID-19 is coming. If it comes, it’s only going to be either stronger or weaker than the first one, but in any case, you need to be prepared for it.

You’ll need to have in stock at home hand sanitizers to clean your hands regularly, and N95 face masks that will protect you when you’re going out. If you have that and also keep social distancing from anyone who might have the symptoms, you’ll be in great shape.

Stay safe, stay positive and stay healthy.
