Coronavirus or COVID-19 sprouted in the city of Wuhan, China. Officials have stated that the disease started from eating wild bats and other wild stuff. People in China are food hunters, they eat almost everything they find. That is the main reason, they ignored the hygiene insurance and were eating anything they found. The disease started from a local restaurant where the bats were prepared and sold.
Chinese Government has now banned eating wild animals without proper research for hygiene. The disease started to spread in Wuhan, the disease is contagious, as it spreads from one person to another through airborne particles. This is the reason why people are requested to cover their faces using N95 respirators or any other respirator.
The disease started to spread more and more in China, the government of China completely locked the city of Wuhan but the disease had reached a lot of other places before it. The disease reached across the border with the help of airports. The people that were outsiders and were stuck in Wuhan were being allowed to leave the place, this resulted in the spread of disease to different parts of the world.
Coronavirus in the United States:
In the United States of America, the disease started to spread in mid-January. In the mid of January, the first case of coronavirus was reported in America. Every passenger was being checked on the borders of every state if America. The disease started to spread from one to another and soon the cases were being reported at a high rate than expected.
The Government of America imposed a complete lockdown, no one was allowed to leave their place without any reason. People were requested to wear N95 respirators. In many states of America including Florida, orders were passed which stated that every person in the state will wear N95 respirators to fight the pandemic.
This method was found effective but it ked to other forms if troubles and crises for the state. The crisis was difficult as well as crucial. Every country in the world was facing the same so no one can help each other in that time.
N95 respirator shortage and free-market health care system:
The United States of America has a law that gives retailers and marketers complete hold of pricing products, manufacturing products, exporting products without the interference if the Government of the United States. The retailers are free to sell and export whatever they like whenever they like. This law is made in the United States to empower their retailers and marketers.
The free-market health care system affected the United States of America badly as this time the retailers started to sell N95 respirators more than they should. They started to look for their profits more than what was necessary for the nation. Their bad decision led to the immense destruction of N95 respirator stock in the market. They were selling more to locals because they were earning more than they would if they sell the same number of N95 respirators to any of the hospitals or nursing centers
On the other hand, N95 respirators were not provided to doctors and medical staff in the amount it should have been. The retailers took the situation carelessly and sold N95 respirators of great value to the ones who did not need it that much and the ones who were at risk were left at stake.
Mr. Donald Trump's Administration:
Mr. Trump's Administration did nothing much when it came to the topic of whenN95 respirators were being sold. These retailers sold the N95 respirators and the government did nothing.
The Donald Trump administration worked hard to overcome the shortage without releasing their stockpile of N 95 respirators but the retailers had crossed every line and there was no other way left then to take serious actions against retailers and keep them under administrative control.
At last, Mr. Donald Trump held a meeting and took the authority under him to sell and export goods. He then commanded 3M to manufacture more N95 respirators, NIOSH to take a precise look at Chinese N95 called KN95 respirators.
Things started to get under control but the country still needed more N95 respirators. Of course, like any other country, the United States had a huge stock of N95 respirators. Trump ordered the Stockpile authorities to release the stored N95 respirators and deliver it to nursing centers that were taking care of coronavirus patients.
The authorities then started to target those nursing centers which had stated that they have run out if N95 respirators and need more within a day or more than three days. These nursing centers were provided with N95 respirators.
Trump's Administration released almost 1.5 million N95 respirators and was provided immediately to those that were needy.
Trump's administration could have saved the excessive use of N95 respirators by warning retailers earlier. This could have saved the national stockpile of N95 respirators. In this way, the country had more efficiently dealt with coronavirus.
Donald Trump, the president of the United States has shown his rage on retailers and that they are the main cause that the United States had to ask China for help for N95 respirators. Chinese KN95 respirators were approved by NIOSH at the time of the United States need of N95 respirators
